Pukeora Estate Semillon 2015/2016

This Pukeora Estate Semillon is our first release as a varietal label rather than blending semillon with other varietals. This wine is refreshingly different with a citrus and herb nose. It is concentrated, lemony and full flavoured on the palate, with a lovely herbal character.

The grapes were handpicked, crushed, pressed and the juice was cold settled before a slow fermentation in seasoned French barriques using wild yeast. Aged 10 months on lees. As a low volume of this wine was made in 2015 and 2016 we have combined them both to give a unique blend of two delicious vintages.
