Pukeora Ruahine Range Noble Selection 2011

Our first true noble wine. This dessert wine is  made from a selection of noble grapes (Chardonnay 89%, Semillon 11%) picked with brix between 28 to 38.  The wine is golden coloured showing a rich honeysuckle, sultana and peachy nose leading to mouth filling honeyed peach and sultana flavours with balanced acidity, a distinctive oily texture and a long finish.

The grapes were handpicked, crushed, pressed and the juice was cold settled before fermentation in seasoned barrels and aged 10 months mostly off lees.

Cellaring Up to 3 Years (hopefully much longer - our first noble, so time will tell !)
